I live in Beacon Hill in Boston, on the “backside of the hill” as people sometimes say. I love a lot of things about living in Boston, but mostly the fresh oysters, reading in the afternoon at the Athenaeum, listening to Emerson College Radio while I cook, walking down the street to our beautiful episcopal church, watching the sailboats on the Esplanade, the local bookstores, and all the amazing ice cream.

I’m twenty-seven, married, with a little baby girl Lux Amelia (born 7/10/11) laying about. Joe and I got married four years ago in the Midwest, where we are both originally from (Illinois and Michigan).

A week after we got married in Michigan, we drove across the country to the ferry in Hyannis, MA and loaded our car onto the boat for the summer on Nantucket island to run a beach market. That little beach shack became our passion for the next three years. Read more about that adventure right here.

You can read my husband Joe’s occasional blog right here. Sometimes we even blog about the same things, so you can have parallel perspectives, wow!

I’m most of the places you are like TwitterGoogle readersvpply, Instagram, and goodreads.
